Description
The bunkers trail is an exemplary site that keeps our duty to remember a difficult time alive: the First World War in the Donon mountain range. August 1914 saw violent combat in Plaine, St-Blaise-la-Roche and the Petit Donon: manoeuvre warfare intended to secure strategic positions. The Plaine, Donon, Grendelbruch and Chapelotte military cemeteries demonstrate the cost of combat.
