Agen : l'Ermitage, la boucle de Vérone

Halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse, Agen, the capital of the Lot-et-Garonne region, is brimming with treasures, from the Unesco World Heritage-listed Saint-Caprais cathedral to the timber-framed houses of Rue Beauville and the four Renaissance mansions that house the Musée des Beaux-arts. This 12.9 km circuit takes you from the old town to the Monbran and Ermitage plateaus, in between which you'll survey the Verona valley, carved out by the Courbarieux, a small tributary of the Garonne. The highlight of the trip is the crossing of the bridge-canal over the Garonne, the second longest bridge-canal in France.
