Montée remarquable du Fayet au Bettex

An ideal route to discover the remarkable climb up to Le Bettex. It's the perfect opportunity to cross the finish line of the 16th stage of the Tour de France on 16 July 2023!

Start your journey at Le Fayet station, join the small road to Les Amerands and head towards "Fayet du milieu" and then "Fayet d'en haut". Although the slope seems easy at first, it becomes steeper later on, especially as you join the Route Nationale in the direction of Megève. Follow this road for 200 metres before turning left towards Saint Nicolas de Véroce. A gentler 3-kilometre climb will take you to "Gollet", heading towards Le Bettex, for the final 4-kilometre stretch at an average gradient of 9.5%. Once at the top, take a moment to look back and enjoy the scenery.

For the more adventurous cyclists, when you get off at the Gollet crossroads, turn right towards Saint Nicolas de Véroce to join the other circuit leading to "Plan de la Croix". You'll still have 6 kilometres to climb.
