A very sunny walk. The path passes through undergrowth and rises above the Vallée du Lez, offering superb views of the high border peaks.
1/ Departure Engomer 0h - 460 m
Just after the bridge (in the direction of Saint-Girons) take the road on the left (quartier Vignau) which runs alongside the river. Turn right at the first alleyway and right again at the cross.
Fifty metres further on, turn left twice (water troughs) to leave the tarmac and continue along the wide track. Immediately climb to the left to walk along the limestone slabs.
Further on, at the fork in the road, the markings take you to the right to climb up a winding path. After 30 minutes, you leave the right path and take a steep path up to a pretty ridge.
You arrive at the 2 barns of
2/ Campussan 0h55 - 755 m
Walk alongside the ruins on the left and follow the flat path. You will soon come to a meadow with a magnificent view. On the right you will come to
3/ Cap de Broc 1h10 - 810 m
For the descent, continue north-north-west then the path plunges left into the valley. You will come to
4/ a track 1h45 - 590 m
Cross the track to the right and continue down the boxwood-lined path until you reach the village of Alas. Do not turn left, but follow the yellow markings all the way to the village.
5/ Alas 1h55 - 476 m
Turn left twice to rejoin the road.
The road and footpath run alongside the river to reach the village of Engomer.

From the Tourist Office in Castillon, head towards Saint-Girons on the D4, then the D618 as far as ENGOMER, turn right before the car park bridge along the LEZ.
