Description
This day's hike will take you to the pretty Etang de Guzet via the sumptuous Ars waterfall, one of the most beautiful natural sites in Ariège.
A great walk that blossoms in the high mountains of Aulus, a route shaded by beech and fir trees.

0.00 A Follow the road towards Col de Latrappe after
200 m. take the track at the bend in the pass.
0.05 B Follow it and at the junction
0.20 C Leave the main track (which goes towards the Fouillet valley) to continue straight on towards the Ars waterfall.
0.55 D Pont d'Artigous: follow the small mountain path that leads to the waterfall.
1.45 E Pied de la grande cascade continue along the GR
2.30 F Passerelle d'Ars: continue along the GR to the right

Location complements
From Saint Girons, head towards Aulus les Bains. At Oust, continue towards Aulus-Les-Bains on the D32. Once in the village, Park near tourist information.
We strongly advise against walking to the Etang de Guzet from Cascade d'ars in winter, as it is not accessible in snowy conditions.
