In summer, the heat can be quite pronounced, so start early to avoid midday sun, and always have a sufficient water supply. Lastly, winter demands caution; ensure your bike is equipped for wet conditions and that you're dressed warmly. Regardless of the season, always check local weather forecasts before departing.
