It was with the construction of its parish church in the 13th century that the village was established. Restored mills, the manor of Sescaud, now ruined, but of which some machicolations can still be seen, and the castle of Narbonne, attest to the vitality of this village from the early Middle Ages until the beginning of the 19th century when there were almost 500 inhabitants in Saint-Just. Established in a magnanerie of the 17th century, house where silkworms are raised, the museum of the silkworm proposes today, in addition to the visit, the sale of silk.
