The Vézelay route is one of the great pilgrimage routes used by a thousand pilgrims each year who come from the north of Europe before entering France and reaching Vézelay, one of the great departures identified for the French routes.
Starting from Sorges, let yourself be guided by our signposting and experience the most serene stage of the crossing of our region by taking advantage of the calm and coolness of the national forest of Lanmary. Before entering the forest, notice the old balance well in Fonniovas. When you leave the forest, you will pass the castle of Caussade, which was used to defend the city of Périgueux during the religious wars. When you arrive in Périgueux, take the beautiful pedestrian street Limogeanne which will lead you to the Saint Front cathedral. On leaving the cathedral, you will not fail to pay homage to Saint Jacques in his chapel.
