Voie verte des berges de L'isle

Description

Whether you are from Périgord or just passing through, this greenway, a 17 km long path, is open to pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers and people in wheelchairs and crosses the city of Périgueux from east to west. It offers you a calm and bucolic walking area, without ever leaving the river bank.
You will leave from Bassillac, pass the Rhodas dam then the Mounards dam, you will cross the Franck Grandou space then after having passed the Barnabé footbridge, you will see successively at the foot of the historical center of Périgueux, the Houses of the Quays, the Cathedral St Front and the Old mill (the eschif). A little further on, on a towpath, you will see the "maladrerie" which was once used as a shelter for the sick and the homeless. Then take the bicycle path parallel to the stadium path.
