Sentier de la Méridienne

This hike will take you from the Sérénac plateau to the Tarn valley. It forms a loop around the Méridienne verte. A few heritage features mark out its route.

t the start, on your right, you can see the Albigensian plain in the distance. During your walk, you will cross agricultural areas, oak and chestnut woods.
In Pécotte, a small place in the commune where two farms are located for market gardening, you will see above all the "bac de Pécotte". It was one of the links between the two banks of the Tarn. It was put into service in 1880. Its activity ceased in 1960. Every year, on the third weekend of July, a festival is organised around this ferry.
You will then go along the Tarn before reaching the high plateau where you can discover beautiful landscapes towards Alban, Assac, Valence d'Albigeois...
