Between Créon and Rauzan lies the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, built between the 11th and 13th centuries. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the series of routes of the Way of Saint James, this masterpiece of Romanesque art, famous for its capitals, enchants us with its open-air testimonies of religious architecture. The path crosses many villages of the Entre-deux-Mers, their Romanesque and Gothic churches, and their curiosities such as the dolmen of Curton with its enigmatic engravings. The stage ends at the foot of the Rauzan Castle or atop its spectacular keep.
