Nature and heritage come together on this stage. From Rauzan, through the vineyards and forests, the walk leads to the Blasimon lake, where swimming is recommended in summer near the Borie mill before visiting the Blasimon Abbey, whose founding history, estimated in 721, is shrouded in legends. Admire the magnificent abbey gate before continuing the journey to the remains of the small chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Nouvelle.
Upon reaching Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, a surprising discovery awaits at the forest’s edge: the Hospitaller commandery of Sallebruneau, founded by the Knights Templar at the end of the 12th century. The journey ends in front of the Saubotte gate.
