The small town of Sauveterre still retains the characteristic appearance of bastides, with its geometric layout, square plaza lined with arcades, and four well-preserved rectangular gates. Following in the footsteps of pilgrims along the Vézelay route, the path crosses Saint-Sulpice-de-Guilleragues, a place rich in history, protected by the castles of Guilleragues and Cazes. From its spur overlooking the Dropt, Monségur, a bastide town, marks the end of the bastides and abbeys route and this stage in Entre-deux-Mers.
