Le chemin pave

At the roundabout take the direction of L’E.H.P.A D Retirement home “le Touyre”. Parking and open space.

Take the path on the left for 900 meters towards the camping site (marked in yellow)

Continue along the camp site, then through the small Wood (yellow markiers) and continue to Benaix (500 meters). Turn right towards the hamlet of Malbastid (1 km).

At the hamlet leave the road and take the pathway on the right, a wide pathway that becomes a track. Follow the yellow markers, the “Sentier Cathar” which leads to the road to Benaix D 509.

Take the road to the right for 50 meters then turn left to the hamlet of Cathofe (150 meters).

Leave the road and take the footpath (marked yellow) then take the rather steep climb to the ridges of Labeur (about 2.5 km).

On the ridges turn left as far as the intersection of the GR 7B (markers white and red)

Continue to the right and descend to the ruins of “Pechiquelle”. Climb again for 900 meters to the fountain “miejo sole”.

From the here the route climbs as far as the “Trembling Pass”. Panel indicates, (altitude 1040 meters) Montsegur.
