"This Green lane journey is quite shady and allows you to discover the Dordogne valley, typical villages of the Périgord Noir and also a beautiful viaduct on the river. From the medieval town of Sarlat (a town of Art and History), the forest offers a shady, downhill route, punctuated by rocky passages, to Carsac, a village overlooked by the Green lane.
A few kilometres further on, a junction leads to Groléjac, crossing the Dordogne on a viaduct. You can also carry on along the same bank as far as the village of Aillac, then Peyrillac and Millac.
From here, 3 km of footpaths will take you to Cazoulès, near Souillac.
The starting point is close to the centre of Sarlat, within easy reach of the railway station. "
