Chemin de meuniers

Description

This route around Vézac will take you between the plain and the hills to discover the natural and landscape riches of this exceptional territory. Along the Dordogne river, you will see the castles of Beynac, Marqueyssac, Fayrac and Les Milandes. You will follow the same paths as the inhabitants of Vézac, along the Trel and Pontou rivers, when they went to the mills.
This route allows you to discover the mills of Treil (oil), of l'Evêque in perfect working order (flour) and the mill of Caillou with a passage through the station from where the millstones extracted from Cénac and Domme, reputed to be among the best in France, left for Bordeaux and the whole world.
