Everyone who’s tackled this short climb is of the same opinion: it’s a tough one! After passing the chalets at Côte-d'Arbroz village, you’ll continue pedalling in perfect peace, taking in open and wooded sections. Gradient: 8.5%

A steep-as-you-like climb which starts alongside beautiful Montriond Lake. A hard view to pass up, and certainly one to do on the way down. Watch out for the goats roaming free in Lindarets village! Gradient: 6% This legendary col has featured in the Tour de France seven times. Quite shady at first and consisting of steeper ramps between long false flats, the gradient kicks up to 10% after Montriond. Be careful when going through Les Lindarets, as it is not unusual to find herds of goats nonchalantly occupying the road! The final section of the climb is more regular, zigzagging up through the forest to the Col de Joux verte.

An easy hike from the heights of Montriond along a forest trail to the hamlet of Guéritolles, from where you can enjoy superb panoramic views over the villages of Montriond, Morzine and Essert-Romand. Along the way, you'll see traditional granaries and alpine chalets, and enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding villages and peaks.

A pleasant walk accessible to all, from the centre of the village to the superb Lac de Montriond. A woodland trail where you can enjoy the natural coolness of summer. Take the time to marvel and recharge your batteries in this green paradise!

Above the forest, you cross a large expanse of snow to return to the charming alpine village of Mont Caly with magnificent views of the Mont Blanc chain. Leave the hamlet of Les Places (accessed via the route de Mont Caly from Les Gets). Take the forest path down to the hamlet of 'Bonnavaz', where you cross the first bridge. Then take the groomed track to the second bridge. The path now follows the winding track climbing into the forest and up to the Col de l'Encrenaz. In the studio, Anouk et Nathalie create useful and decorative ‘Made in Les Gets’ pieces. POTTERY APPRENTICES We propose initiations of turning and modelling to all public (adult and child) every Monday morning from 10 am to noon. The pieces are glazed, fired and returned the following Friday.

"The Hub Les Gets" is a ski, snowboard and mountain bike rental shop in the centre of Les Gets, with ski in ski out access, very close to the ice rink and ESF. Our ski rental brands are: Atomic, Deneriaz, Lacroix, Armada, Rossignol, Movement... We have state-of-the-art equipment, including a ski machining centre with a Wintersteiger structured stone machine for the sole and edges. We also have a Bootdoc foot scanner to determine the best rental or new ski boot. Snowscoot hire, bootfitting scanner and boot hire, Volcom, Amplid, Santa Cruz.

At the heart of the alpine Graydon pasture, under the hardened eye of the majestic roc d’enfer, you find the little Graydon chapel. It was built in 1859 and then entirely renovated in 2009 The Graydon chapel constructed in 1859, allowed for the parishes of ST Jean d’Aulps and that of Essert Romand, separated a few years earlier to keep a certain link between them. It was in 1902 that the Swiss architect, Goss, constructed the entrance porche where two Capitals where added that came from the Aulps Abbey. The chapel in consecrated to the immaculate conception is today a place of celebrations and all through the summer season the parish celebrates a mass every Wednesday You can get there from Essert Romand or from the little hamlet called Valette at St Jean d’Aulps

At the foot of the Roc d'Enfer mountains, this hollow coomb is a huge Alpine pasture, surrounded by stunning, steep cliffs. The Graydon chapel and surrounding chalets offer a genuine and peaceful glimpse of a mountain way of life. Located at 1340m and rising to 2243m, the Graydon meadows are easily accessible by car in summer from Essert-Romand. Graydon is the starting point for many walks including the Roc d'Enfer tour, a delightful route that winds through Alpine meadows, offering a glimpse of marmottes and deer. This circuit has superb panoramas of the Aravis mountains, the Roc d'Enfer and the Mt Blanc range. Visitors who wish to learn more about the chapel are invited to go in. It dates from the 19th century but was recently restored, providing a place to sit quietly and recharge your batteries. It hosts several services throughout the warmer months.

A fine mountain meadow with an impregnable view of Mont Blanc, the Aravis range, the Dents du Midi and the peaks of the Vallée d’Aulps. Rearing of Abondance cows by the “Gaec du Mont-Clay” cooperative. Access from le Col de l'Encrenaz (15 minutes by foot) and can also be accessed after a walk from Graydon village (part of the walking route “Roc d’Enfer tour”). Col Ratti, which is the highest point of this Alpine meadow, is easy to reach and presents no technical challenges, and offers a wonderful panoramic view.

A slate-quarry worker welcomes you into his workshop to present the history of Morzine's 200-years old slate industry and demonstrates his modern work-techniques.

This stunning lake - known also as the emerald green lake - sits quietly at the foot of immense cliffs and is a favourite with children and adults thanks to the idyllic view and the feeling of calm it evokes. Lake Montriond is a huge outdoor playground with something for everyone. It includes a swimming area that’s suitable for very young swimmers (lifeguards in July and August), while other visitors can try pony riding, canoeing, paddle. Older children and adults also enjoy walking around the lake to take in the intoxicating beauty of it all... The lake is also a jewel of a find for anglers, with its healthy stock of fario trout and rainbow trout, char and tiddlers! A fishing licence is required.

Located a 15-minute walk from the Nyon plateau, the artificial lake of Nyon Guérin will delight you with its bluish water and its surrounding mountain pastures.

In the heart of the authentic Abondance valley, join in one hour's walk a beautiful refuge, located at 1500 m altitude at the foot of Mount Grange. It proposes you the accomodation and small restauration. And because a refuge is, first and foremost, a stage on the road of the walker, you only have to follow the path to arrive at the lake of Tavaneuse, at the foot of the mount Grange (2432m) or even to Prétairié . Each building is equipped with a kitchenette with two gas, dishes, bowls and allows those who wish to be autonomous. The large building includes the kitchen, a large dining room and a dormitory of 18 persons. The sheepfold has 13 places, it is a haven of peace, easy to heat in winter thanks to its wood stove. The mountain hut is situated at the Col de la Golèse in the middle of an alpine meadow. It offers a wonderful panorama on the south side overlooking the Giffre valley and Samoëns and on Morzine and Manche valley on the north side. Located on the route of the GR5, GRP Dents blanches and Tour du Haut Giffre, the Golèse refuge is a starting point for many hikes, and you can stay here for one or more days in charming rooms or dormitories. Accessible to all from the age of 5 in 1h30 (600m ascent), the refuge was completely rebuilt in the 90s. The Baud family, who own the refuge, have been welcoming you for over 25 years to this charming alpine setting. Along the trail, you'll discover a rich variety of mountain plants and, if you're discreet, all the wild fauna of our mountains. This autumn, come and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors and a fine meal of game. This winter, the ascent will be groomed and you'll be able to access the refuge on snowshoes or cross-country skis.
