La Vagabonde is a cycling adventure of over 500 km. Departing from Montluçon in the Allier, this route takes you through Creuse, Corrèze and Lot to Montech in the Tarn-et-Garonne. In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, discover the varied landscapes from Lac de Vassivière to the Causses du Quercy, via the Plateau de Millevaches and the Dordogne Valley. With its mix of greenways and low-traffic shared roads, this itinerary is designed for the more experienced rider.

This agricultural route around the Marsat wood allows you to discover the patient work of men who, over the centuries, have traced communication routes, created ponds, dug wells and ponds, planted hedges, maintained the meadows and forests and gradually modified the environment to shape the landscape.

On the heights, after a succession of panoramic views over the Auvergne, you'll discover the 13th-century Château du Ligondeix, before plunging into the forest towards the Cher, the natural boundary between the Limousin and Auvergne regions. From the town of the emblematic abbey Ste Valérie, go and discover the nature reserve of the Landes pond, a unique place to observe the fauna and flora. This walk will then take you near an airfield to Lépaud where you can stop in its small church which contains a painting by Osterlind. Finally, go back down quietly to Chambon sur Voueize and don't hesitate to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Tardes river bank or to go for a little walk at the foot of the Gorges de la Voueize!
