Departure from Espace Monet Rollinat, Allée Fernand Maillaud, Fresselines. This interpretive trail invites walkers to follow the artist on a short 3 km loop, punctuated by bookmarks featuring Monet's works and extracts from letters to friends and companions... Follow the yellow markers with the palette. Take the suspension bridge to cross the Petite Creuse, then the "wooden bridge" to return to the original riverbank. Return via the village.

Departure from Place de l'Eglise, Fresselines

On either side of the Sédelle, this loop reveals a little-known heritage of the Crozant region: its countless stone crosses scattered along roadsides and intersections, in the heart of hamlets or in the countryside.

Departure from parking lot, rue Armand Guillaumin. A route of great variety, between railroad por-tions (la Chapelle Baloue, Vaussujean) and technical singletracks (le Perthuis, Mazérolles). You'll have the privilege of riding up the valley of the painters (Crozant, le pont Charraud). There's a wet section in winter between the villages of Maisons and Crozant. Don't forget to stop for lunch at Crozant, where the panorama is magnificent.

Departure place de la mairie Nouzerolles. One of the prettiest walks in the Pays Ouest Creuse, around the village of Nouzerolles. After a glance at the Chapelle at the start of the route, you arrive at the Petite Creuse rise: magical! Take your time climbing back up to Puy Balièbre, and after about 1km, watch out for the very wet passage.

Departure from Place de la Mairie in Nouzerolles. The route starts with a 1st loop through the village, passing by the church, then a second loop that takes you through the village of La Jarrige towards the banks of the Petite Creuse. You climb back up to Puy Balièbre and walk back to the village.

At the gateway to the ancient province of La Marche, on a granite spur between the Sédelle and Grande Creuse rivers, the imposing ruins of the ancient fortress dominate the commune of Crozant. This picturesque site, where impetuous nature has been shaped by the hand of man, has inspired many artists, poets (Maurice Rollinat) and painters. The Sédelle valley has retained all its majesty, with its granite chaos and its course of a thousand waterfalls. On a granite outcrop, the ruins of the fortress overlook the confluence of two rivers. Centre of the struggles between Lusignan, Capétien and Plantagenêt, idealised by George Sand, immortalised by the painters, the site is protected and classified as historical and natural heritage.

This romanesque church date back from XII century and a part of it was rebuilt in the XV century. The bell tower is very original and the tiles are made with chestnut wood.

The Les Blaireautins forest garden is a small-scale organic farming site where agro-ecological know-how is passed on. The garden at the heart of the project covers 2,500 m2. Both a productive space and a refuge for wildlife, the garden is intended to be used as a model for other forest gardens throughout France. It is open to the public by appointment from May to November, and organizes educational workshops in all seasons (scythe practice, gentle pruning of fruit trees, designing and maintaining a forest garden, etc.). A wide range of certified organic produce is sold directly on site and at local fairs and sales points. A little further on, 2 hectares of fallow land and meadows will soon be open to the public: large-scale forest garden, wildlife and environment trail, bocage know-how.

This church was built between the XVIth and the XVth centuries and is situated outside of the heart of the village because it was a part of the (today disappeared) Lords' castle.

This chapel date back from the XV century and was consecrated to the patron saint of infirms, beggars and smithes : Saint Gilles. The priest of Fresselines used to preach there every 1ft of September, for the Name Day of Saint Gilles

La Belle aventure is a little corner of paradise entirely renovated in 2022. It's a family business located at La Chaise Gonnot in the commune of Fresselines. The 2-storey gite sleeps 8, with every possible comfort. The gite has a swimming pool (with a safety ladder that prevents access if raised) and a second terrace.
