The Haras National du Pin (stud farm), known as the ‘Versailles for horses’, was built upon orders from King Louis XIV on a 1,000-hectare estate full of greenery. Today, the Haras du Pin is an exceptional place in Normandy and every year, more than 200 days of world-renowned equestrian competitions take place here. There are also countless other tourism and cultural activities. A TOUR OF THE HARAS is an exploration of the whole historic centre of the Haras du Pin. Come and explore the entire stud farm and estate and see how it has evolved throughout the centuries, including the main courtyard, the stables, vast tack room, collection of horse-drawn carriages and a discovery trail. You will also have a chance to meet the horses and discover the different breeds.

In the heart of Le Vieux-Pin, appreciate the built heritage, classed to historical monument of France : castle and presbytary from 17th century, and the old church Saint Ouen from 18th century with a bell tower in frame in the center of the nave. This church was built in 1779, transferred in 1857 and transformed in stable. Today, it is no long use.

This church was rebuilt in 1821 by the Marquis of Flers with the demolition materials from the churches of Argentelles and Champaubert.

His originiality is especially inside the church with the decoration of choir from the 17th century. You can admire a baroque's altar with two medallions and 26 personnages life-size on the vault.

Bulles Bazar is the only bar lounge restaurant in Argentan. Originally open in the evening until 2am, since 2016 it has been open at lunchtime 3 or 4 days a week in order to offer a very high quality restaurant service for a very affordable budget. At the source of the river Orne, the Pavillon Gouffern is located within an 80 hectare wooded park, abounding in game. This old hunting lodge, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, will seduce you by its comfort and charming character. The Pavillon de Gouffern also has a gastronomic restaurant which remains true to traditional french cooking.

The gite set up in a former orangery of a XVIIIth century castle. It has been fitted out in reception halls and in a pub with 40 kinds of beers.
