In 2011, Lilian Barton Sartorius decided to acquire Château Mauvesin Barton. His daughter Mélanie, the family?s 1st ?nologist, runs the estate and has made quality one of her priorities, implementing a progressive policy of uprooting and replanting with higher-quality rootstocks, as well as reducing weeding by doing more tillage. Parcels are planted with Cabernet Franc (11%), Merlot (54%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (35%).
