After the Contaut Lagoon, follow this 3km circuit to discover the ancient dunes and the magnificent hundred-year-old oaks that adorn this forest. Located in the heart of the Médoc, the Château Gadet Terrefort is a family property who was created in 1921 by Guillaume Bernard. Christian Bernard took over the vineyard and succeed to develop a thriving business. His wines are known nowadays as their hight-quality and were awarded at the Concours Général Agricole of Paris. Christian Bernard’s wines provide an unchanging quality. Today, Anaïs represents the third generation of a local family. She manages all aspects of wine making and sellings. She combines respect of traditions and technological innovations with modern viticultural methods. All her wines are produced for one year in French oak barrels.

A modern, ecological and bright building, set in a peaceful green setting on the edge of the pine forest, the Grange du Patrimoine de Vendays-Montalivet offers 350 m² of permanent exhibition space and 100 m² of temporary exhibition space.
