Opened in 1946, Bergère de France is France's largest knitting wool producer. It controls the entire process from production to marketing and is one of the leaders in its market sector. In fact, it produces more than half the wool sold in France. The company occupies premises covering an area of 40,000 sq. metres. The guided tour takes visitors through the various workshop areas, from the arrival of the raw material to the packaging of balls of wool and the preparation of orders for despatch.
Visitors are given an opportunity to buy wool at the factory shop at the end of the guided tour.
For safety reasons, visitors must be at least 18 years of age.
Available throughout the year for groups with advance booking.
