This modern chapel is an irregular cube of grey concrete standing on piles, blending seamlessly into the surrounding countryside. It was built by Father Rayssiguier, a follower of Le Corbusier. He also worked with Matisse on the chapel in the village of Vence in Southern France. The stained-glass windows were designed by a young Japanese artist, Kimie Bando.
The pilgrims' hall provides seating for 60 people at mealtimes.
