Lake Gers Refuge
Description
We welcome you in the heart of the Grand Massif, in a green setting. Come and discover a timeless place in the middle of pasture. Five cozy rooms and a restaurant bar welcome you for a stay full of healing.
Claire, Arnaud and their team will be delighted to welcome you for a drink, a meal or a night. We offer rooms of 3 to 6 beds with a private bathroom for each of them. We will receive you for a step on your way on the GR96. In winter, you can live the magical experience of sleeping on the Grand Massif ski area, in its wild part. The fireplace will allow you to relax after a good day skiing.
On the GR96, from Samoëns to Samance (Lake Annecy), and approaching the GR5, the Refuge du Lac de Gers welcomes you in a magnificent setting full of abundant flora and fauna. In addition to the cottage, we offer a covered, simple cuisine of terroir, tradition and quality at the edge of the Lake in the summer and on the Cascades slope in the winter.
You will enjoy a rest in the calm of the Combe de Gers, by the lake. With abundant flora and fauna this place is ideal for recharging batteries. Lovers of mountain lake fishing will be able to tease the trout, while others will relax on the terrace.

Winter: 🚩 Accessibility of the refuge: snowshoeing / ski touring / Alpine skiing via Combe de Gers + Magic Forest OR Waterfall trail but plan to come on foot between the trackers' hut and the refuge (10 minutes). Closest village or station: Samoëns and Sixt Fer à Cheval Walking time from the nearest car park "Pont de Ledédian": 2 hours walk Access possible by path, with a bat donkey, by mountain bike, 4x4, quad, endurot motorbike (summer) with snowshoes, cross-country and alpine ski (winter). Coach parking at Lededian parking lot.
Reception complements
Greater capacity for outdoor groups. Menus available for larger groups. Telephone point on the waterfall trail. We'll pick you up by snowmobile on the waterfall trail. A unique experience!
