Description

The name of the village comes from the latin "petra ficta" which means "planted stone". Pierrefitte is nestled in a lanscape where water dug narrow and deep valleys, creating natural sites such as Daro's waterfalls. Sainte-Marie's church shelters a remarkable polychrome pieta dated from the 15th century.
