Naves is located on a plateau which overlooks the valley of the river Correze. THe first inhabitants settled there, at the crossroads of two important antique roads. The village grew from the 5th century, after the desertion of the former gallo-roman site of Tintignac, the ruins of wich are still visible nowadays. Saint-Pierre lès Liens' church shelters the altarpiece of Duhamel's brothers, realised between 1680 and 1704. This masterpiece is one of the most prestigious witness of Baroque art in the region.
