Originally it was the chapel of the old castle of Poudenx, current seat of the town hall. Tiny Romanesque church with an ancient vocation. It was enlarged in the 13th century, then endowed with a western tower fortified during the Hundred Years' War and with a narrow side wall pierced with loopholes. Later on, the building was embellished and in the 17th century a second porch was added to the north of the first. The bell tower was rebuilt several times in 1850 and 1884.
