From the Tête du Parmelan, enjoy a 360° view of the Aravis and Mont-Blanc ranges, the Glières massif, the Fillière valley and Lake Annecy. The lappiaz, protected by the limestone cliffs, form a lunar-like landscape.
The summit of the Bornes massif rises to an altitude of 1,832 m. Its summit offers an interesting view of the Annecy conurbation and the Dingy-Saint-Clair valley.
The mountain is made up of three remarkable points:
- La Tête, the highest point, is home to a refuge and launch site for paragliders: When you reach the top, you'll have a 360° view of Haute-Savoie: Mont-Blanc, Lake Annecy, Lake Geneva, etc.
- Le Petit Montoir (1584 m)
- Le Grand Montoir (1831 m), two access routes to the summit. The second includes some difficult sections and is reserved for experienced hikers.
