A Golfing Gem in JurbiseFounded in 1933 on the historic lands of the Princes of Croÿ in Jurbise, the Royal Golf Club of Hainaut is the result of passionate golf enthusiasts. Designed by the renowned British architect Tom Simpson, the original course blends harmoniously into the natural landscape, dotted with heather and gorse. Today, the club offers 27 holes, spread over three loops of 9 holes, providing a challenge that is both varied and accessible to all levels of play, all within an exceptional setting.Over the decades, the course has evolved while respecting its heritage. After being damaged during World War II, it was restored under the supervision of a British officer passionate about golf, with the help of German prisoners. In 1976, the course was modernized and expanded to 18 holes, then further enlarged to 27 holes in 1990 thanks to the contributions of architect Frédéric G. Hawtree.Today, the Royal Golf Club of Hainaut is one of the most prestigious clubs in Belgium. Managed as a non-profit organization, the club reinvests all its resources to enhance the comfort and experience of its members.
