MUSÉE DE LA MINE

It took five former miners (helped by a few younger people) eight years to reconstruct the underground world at the bottom of a mine pit. Here, the visitor can hear thesound of the working machinery and the raised cries of the miners. You can also watch 2 films: one on the exploitation of coal; the otheron Genral de Gaulle's descent down pit N°6 in 1959.
