Uzer

Only 5 km from Largentière, on the way from Aubenas to les Vans, this pleasant village used to be located on an ancient roman road.
The Chalendar castle, in the village center, has been transformed into a 4 star guesthouse.
Kate Ladner and Nicholas Todorovic, the owners of the medieval house “la Bastide d'Uzer” up on the hill, often give opera concerts at their home.
East of the village, in the “garrigue”, are some Gallo-roman graves and megalithic tombs have also been discovered.
From the Ranc de Guillaumet Dolmen you get a very nice view of the Ligne and Lande rivers.
You will be able to appreciate the village, once famous for brick and roof tile factories, by walking through the old streets.
