Visite guidée de Mauléon et de son château-fort

This dynamic little town, born of the merger of Mauléon and Licharre in 1841, is known as the "capital of espadrille". But its history began long before the town was industrialized!
During the guided tour, you'll learn that the château d'Andurain de Maytie was built in the early 17th century by the bishop of Oloron, a native of Mauléon; that the 12th-century château-fort was built on the site of a protohistoric camp; and that the bastide at its foot has yet to reveal all its secrets.
