Description
Bâtie en 1409 sur ordre du duc de Bourgogne Jean-sans-Peur, effrayé des conséquences du meurtre du frère du roi, Louis d'Orléans, qu'il fait assassiner deux ans auparavant, cette tour fortifiée, établie sur l'enceinte de Philippe-Auguste, est la plus haute tour civile médiévale de Paris, avec 23 mètres.
Dans la magnifique voûte sculptée, de style gothique flamboyant, se mêlent feuilles de chêne, houblon et aubépine.
