This tower was built in the 12th century and is located on a 780m hill facing the Tanargue mountains. It used to be connected underground to the Brison castle whose ruins can be seen in Sanilhac.
The association “friends of the Tour de Brison” renovated the tower in the 1900s. It is now used as a watchtower to prevent fires. Legend tells that every year the devil comes and takes a stone away from the tower. From there, there is a fabulous view of the Tanargue, the Ventoux Mount, the Alps and Mont Blanc on a clear day.
