Un vallon de pastoralisme
Description
Environ 2 000 ovins pâturent dans le vallon d’Orcières, exploité par les alpagistes. L’alpage est découpé en quartiers en fonction de la fonte des neiges. Avec l’arrivée progressive de l’été, le troupeau monte en altitude pour manger l’herbe fraîche. Les pelouses complétées avec des pierres de sel sont l’unique nourriture durant la belle saison.
