Mélèze
Description
Le mélèze est le seul résineux européen à perdre ses aiguilles en hiver. Son bois est rouge brun. Dans le paysage, il détonne par ses couleurs allant du vert tendre au printemps aux couleurs or de l'automne. Ses fleurs roses séduisent les naturalistes et photographes au printemps. S'il s'accommode des conditions difficiles de la montagne, le mélèze ne supporte pas la concurrence des autres arbres. Juste au-dessus du hameau des Boussardes, on observe l'installation de la forêt sur des milieux anciennement pâturés ou fauchés.
