Description

Divided into two galleries, the La Fage chasm is known for its beautiful, colourful draperies, highly decorated calcite bridges, numerous stalactites, columns and unusual figures, and its palaeontological deposits. A listed NATURA 2000 site, it also houses one of the largest bat colonies in Europe.
For those who wish to visit the site on their own, a playful and educational layout allows everyone to discover the wonders of the underground world at their own pace. A mini caving course and a digging tank await children, with hydro-alcoholic gel available.

The Gouffre does not have disabled access. Numerous minerals, natural stone jewellery and various souvenirs await you in the shop, which has been fitted out in compliance with health standards.

Opening hours:
- from 1 April to 30 June, every day except Wednesday, from 2 to 6 pm (free visits).
- From July 1st to August 31st: Every day, from 9.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm. Free visits in the morning and all day on Saturdays, guided tours in the afternoon. And for those with an adventurous spirit, a Jules Verne tour with torchlight, Monday to Friday at 1.30 pm by reservation.
- From 1st to 10th September: Every day from 2pm to 5pm except Wednesdays (after 10th September, please enquire).
All Saints' Day holidays: Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm to 5pm.
The last descent always takes place 1 hour before closing time, regardless of the period.
Charge: 9€ /adult and 5.50€ /child. Free for children under 4 years old. Please contact us by phone or email for more information.

Archaeology workshop 10 € per child/ Reservation required
