The President Jacques Chirac Museum houses the 5,000 diplomatic gifts given to the President between 1995 and 2007. Jacques Chirac in turn became a donor by choosing to give them to the Departmental Council of Corrèze.
In addition to this initial function, there is now a desire to present to visitors the character of the President of the Republic, and more particularly the history of the role and powers of the eight heads of state of the Fifth Republic. This transformation will take place over several seasons, but will begin in 2023 with the discovery of the office of the Presidents of the Republic in the Élysée Palace, the Salon Doré.
The diplomatic gifts given to Jacques Chirac are and will always be presented in the heart of the visitable reserve.
Temporary or seasonal exhibitions are also available.
