Description
The Chalet du Gros Morond is located in the Jurassic Mountains, on the western side of The Mont d'Or. In a "refuge" atmosphere that does not exclude a comfortable setting, the chalet will welcome you for a sports or bucolic stay

It occupies a privileged position in the middle of the ski slopes and V.T.T. courses of the metabief resort; it is close to the free flight site of Mont d'Or, close to the G.R. 5 hiking trail in summer, a stone's throw from the G.T.J. (Great Crossing of the Jura) in winter.

In the summer, access can be via a forest road to the cottage.From the first snow the chalet is isolated and accessible only by cross-country ski or snowshoe in half an hour from the superlongevilles car park, or to ski by the ski lifts from Metabief.Access by public transport: By the Dole-Pontarlier line train, get off at Frasne. Bus connection (Frasne-Vallorbe) to Metabief, then 1 hour walk.
