Village d'Auros

Auros is a county town of the Bazadais, that is to say of the old diocese of Bazas, located on a height which dominates the valley of the Garonne to the south, equidistant from the three important cities of Langon, Bazas, La Réole of approximately 10 kilometers
The stream of Beuve crosses the town adding its picturesque to the landscapes, by its valley sometimes steep, its role once was considerable because it operated several mills cereal, including two Auros.
The village has a superb 13th century baronial castle, now transformed into a reception area for events, the Cistercian abbey of Rivet in the Beuve valley, small local heritage and the Monco path where various varieties of wild orchids flourish.
