ÉGLISE SAINT-PIERRE

Description

In Norroy le Veneur, Saint-Pierre church is part church, part fortified castle.

Built between the 12th and 17th centuries, it was part of the fortress and its massive bell tower was even a key part of the defensive system.

The church itself has three naves, lit by small Romanesque-style windows and stained glass windows dating from the 16th to 20th centuries.

The crypt has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1930, and the whole building since 1983.

Visits on request from the Town Hall.
