GRAND RUE

Description

Grand'Rue is a shopping street with beautiful 18th century facades and windows with staples and braces. Going down the Grand'Rue, you can stop at number 64, "Martin jewellery" shop. This is the former house of Joseph Beunat, founder of a stucco decorations factory, best known as "Pâte de Sarrebourg". They kept the orignal decorations on the walls and the ceiling at the jewellery (however, it is currently closed). Despite Joseph Beunat's ingenuity, the factory only enjoyed a short period of prosperity.
