SET OFF FOR AN EXCURSION AT THE HEART OF CAMARGUE'S NATURE PARK AND ITS “CAPITAL”, THE SEASIDE RESORT TOWN OF SAINTES-MARIES-DE-LA-MER.
Start your day by discovering Camargue's nature reserve, a true wildland with diverse flora and fauna. Known as one of the biggest wetlands in Europe, the parks is home to more than 122,000 species of birds as well as pink flamingos, white horses and Camargue bulls.
Then, head to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, a seaside resort town in Provence considered as the capital of Camargue. As a small Mediterranean fishing town, Saintes-Maries is renowned for its hours of sunshine and beautiful streets. It is even said that Vincent Van Gogh’s masterpieces were inspired by this town!
With your guide, go up to the church's rooftop and take in a superb panorama of the cities, the sea and marshes in the region.
At the end of the day, your chauffeur will drive you back to Avignon.
