The church of Millery, whose patron saint is St Martin, overlooks the Moselle with its tall Romanesque bell tower, said to be an ancient castle tower built by the Libdeau monks in the 12th century. This church was plundered, burned and destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War, before being rebuilt in the 17th century. It was abandoned during the French Revolution and used as a Temple of Reason, followed by a hay barn from 1794. In ruins by 1839, the town decided to preserve the tower and the bell tower entrance, as well as rebuilding the nave. Inside are Carrara marble altars and a choir decorated with mural paintings.
