Domaine de la Dombes

Set on 30 hectares close to the small village of St-Paul-de-Varax near Bourg-en-Bresse the Domaine de la Dombes is an ultra modern 4 star campsite that offers a wide range of alternative camping accommodations.
The Domaine de la Dombes is located in the heart of the Dombes-Saone Lakes about 1 hour’s drive from Lyon close to the well renowned Parc des Oiseaux ornithological park. These include cabins perched high in the trees that can accommodate between 2 to 6 guests and cabins floating on the domaine’s lake that can cater for 2 to 3 people. Additionally there are floating tents available for hire as well as lodges on dry land by the lakeshore and in the middle of the forest. For the real adventurous, there are the ‘Lov’nids’ which are suspended between the trees that can sleep 2 people (not suitable for children under 12). The Domaine de la Dombes also has 156 traditional shaded encampments available that can cater for camping cars as well as 14 mobile homes. There is also plenty to keep you occupied on the campsite with activities such as tennis, table tennis, mini-golf, archery, volleyball and boules. The domaine also has its own 3,000m² lake and sandy beach for the exclusive use of the domaine’s guests.
