This young estate, created in 2009, with 2 hectares of old vines on the slopes of the Durance, made its entry into the Hachette Guides in 2012. Organic winemaker, producer of red, rosé and white wines. Wines IGP Hautes-Alpes. Visit the cellar this summer!
Yann de Agostini, the winegrower, welcomes you:
"Originally from the Haut-Alpes, I studied viticulture and oenology in Cognac. After various experiences in France and abroad, I came back to my region with the intention of creating my own estate.
Domaine du Petit Août was created in 2009 from 2 hectares of old vines under lease. As time went by and opportunities arose, I was able to acquire a few more parcels to reach 6 hectares today, divided into 22 blocks in 4 communes of the Durance valley.
My vines have been managed organically since 2013 and will be certified for the 2017 vintage.
A rigorous sorting of the fruit is carried out during the harvest and the vinification, which is not very interventionist, allows my wines to express their mountainous terroir My aim is to highlight traditional grape varieties such as Mollard, Espanenc and Clairette."
