Discover South Korea on a guided seven-day tour of the country! Admire its modern cities and historical sites!
* DAY 1: LEAVE SEOUL - VISIT GONGJU - NIGHT IN DAEJEON
A shuttle bus will come to collect you from your hotel to take you to the meeting point for the tour's departure. You will then head to Gongju, a city which was the capital of the Korean Baekje kingdom between 475 and 538. You will visit the city's most famous monuments, especially Gongsanseong Fortress, the tomb of King Muryeong as well as Magoksa Temple where you will discover a traditional tea ceremony with a Buddhist monk. You will then reach Daejeon, South Korea's fifth most populated city. There you will have dinner and spend the night.
* DAY 2: JEONJU AND JINAN VISIT - NIGHT IN GWANGJU
Your guide will take you to discover Jeonju, the capital of Jeollabuk province, a city rich in Korean culture and traditions. You will visit the district of traditional Korean houses, the hanoks. At lunch you will enjoy the town's culinary speciality, the Jeonju bibimbap. You will then hit the road once again to Jinan where you will visit the Tapsa Temple on Mount Maisan. At night, you will dine in a local restaurant before arriving in your hotel in Gwangju.
* DAY 3: BOSEONG AND SUNCHEON VISIT - NIGHT IN YEOSU
You will discover the Boseong green tea plantation where your guide will enlighten you on the history of this tea culture which developed during the Japanese colonisation. Then you will visit the folkloric village of Naganeupseong before strolling around the Suncheon Bay ecological park, renowned for its reeds and observe the view of the bay from the Yongsan observatory. Finally, you will reach Yeosu where you will sleep.
* DAY 4: YEOSU, JINJU AND BUSAN VISIT - NIGHT IN BUSAN
You will embark on a cruise around Odongdo island in Yeosu before continuing your journey to Jinju where you will visit Jinjuseong fortress. Your tour will continue with a trip to Busan, the country's most important port city and one of the world's top five ports. You will visit the economic cooperation building for the Asia Pacific region on the island of Dongbaekseom in Busan. Then you can take a shopping spree in the Centum City department store which was the world's largest department store for a long time.
* DAY 5: ULSAN AND GYEONGJU VISIT – NIGHT IN DAEGU
After your breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the industrial city of Ulsan. You will visit Ulgi Park where you will have a breathtaking view of the sea. Next stop is Gyeongju, the former capital of the Korean Silla royalty. You will discover Bulguksa temple, registered as a UNESCO world heritage site, as well as the Gyeongju national museum, Anapji lakje and Tumuli park which is home to the tombs of the members of the Silla royal family. You will spend the night in a Daegu hotel.
* DAY 6: ANDONG AND WONJU VISIT – NIGHT IN PYEONGCHANG
You will set off to explore the Hahoe folkloric village in Andong (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site), you will admire the traditional houses and your guide will explain the daily life of its habitants under the Joseon dynasty which reigned over unified Korea between 1392 and 1910. After lunch, you will go to Wonju where you will learn about the Korean paper art known as hanji, a paper with incredible solidity and many uses. You will try your hand at producing this paper during a practical workshop. Your hotel for the night will be at Pyeongchang, a host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics.
* DAY 7: VISIT GANGREUNG AND MOUNT SEORAK - RETURN TO SEOUL
The last day of the tour will start with a visit to the Jumunjin fish market in Gangreung. Next stop is Yangyang where a short hike will allow you to discover Mount Seorak. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will return to Seoul where your guide will drop you off at Lotte Hotel late afternoon.
