A trip to this hillside that stands out for both its size and ecological richness, offers superb views over the hilly countryside of the Pays d'Auge, and allows you to discover the brightly coloured and richly fragrant grasslands, typical of such sunny limestone environments.
Guided by a specialist, you will spot and learn about many species of plant, insect and bird that bring the site to life in summer, some of which are very rare.
May and June are particularly good for appreciating the beauty of the 13 species of wild orchid that grow here, sometimes in large colonies.
You'll also come across some hardy goats, sheep and horses.
