Contrasting with the surrounding plains, the Vaudobin offers a wild, rugged landscape with a deep gorge cut into a rocky plateau. After crossing the arid terrain that alternates between gorse and heather-covered moorland, and woodlands dotted with hyacinths, a steep descent takes you into the cool woodland on the banks of the Meillon stream, strewn with wild garlic, marsh marigold and meadowsweet. Your visit is also an opportunity to explore the site's geological curiosities, including the famous "oxen hoof prints", 500-million year old marine fossil traces, behind one of the oldest local legends.
